Feathers and Things


Brown Creeper on one of it's many many trips to the tiny nest - a small slit in this old tree.

I think that I see the babies in the nest

Darn - why couldn't this ant have been there at the same time the creeper was.


But you can get an idea of the size of the nest, by thinking of the size of this ant.
Heron are still hanging out at the pond. I must have a hundred pictures of these birds.
And they sure do have a big wing span!
And speaking of a big wing span ... here's a weird bird.


And not to be outdone, a female hooded merganzer atop a tall tree stump.
And the otter still come around too. Looks like this one has gas?
I watched this one eat a fish (I think - it had it's head turned away from me)
Yummy in my tummy!
