FAIRCHILDREN REUNION LIMERICK 1998

by Kathy Johnson

In ‘98 they returned to Maine
Only six this year and only one plane

The place was expensive, roomy and charming
however, the price was at first a bit alarming
It was well worth it, every quarter, dime and nickel
And can you believe Lyn was shorted her pickle?

Shall we talk about Nancy? Tell her tale here?
No let us hold off, we need some more beer

Kathy and Deb were the first to get there
Then Lyn and Leslie, now that is a pair
Next Peggy blew in, brought by dear brother Jack
Now there is a cutey; there's nothing he lacks

But there was still one green rocker that stood empty and waiting
Between 3 & 5 was the time she'd been stating

Should we worry: It's Nancy, she always runs late
For a while we were distracted by the men on the court
But our minds kept asking could she possibly be hurt

By 10 we were sure that this was not funny
Should we call, should we not?
Would we worry her honey?
