17 YEARS !!!!

Cape Porpoise, Maine June 3rd - June 5th, 2006

The Pink Flamingo Kids ... Guess that we have now all edged well into our middle years.
Deb brought some very thoughtful gifts for each of us from Florida.
Pink Flamingos hats and matching adornments - Quite cute, huh?
Sue was delayed in attending the reunion, by a wet basement (too much RAIN!),and was unable to
join us until Saturday afternoon. She would have joined us sooner, except the rest of us were
carousing at L.L. Bean in Freeport - seemed like a good place to go on a rainy day.
Not a lot of shopping done, though Nancy did find a good pair of $5 shorts at the Horny Toad.
The shorts are limey green and most importantly, have a drain hole in the pocket!
Such FUN! We do have such a good time catching up ... and as always, find
lots and lots of laughs.

Mr. UNH wears pink.
The Friday night feature film was 'The Rat Race' - rather light,
which is, by the way, just the way Merl likes her movies,
and in totally poor taste, which some others might (and did) add.

Lyn, Les and Sherry - couch potatoes extraordinaire, show off their chic new duds.
We do have fun!!

Debbie has a definite twinkle in her eyes.

What to order, the eggs or the eggs? No one ordered French Toast.

If we had held a contest, Sue would have won the best matched and chic-est outfit, for sure.

And our stories continued wherever we went.

Les chaufeured the buzzing Fairchild beehive everywhere.
Thanks, Les!

I agree with the email that Deb just sent.
We are a great, grand bunch!

Til next year, in the words of SmashMouth:
  ....
  ....
And we could all use a little change

Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb

So much to do so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow

Hey now you're an All Star get your game on, go play
Hey now you're a Rock Star get the show on get paid
And all that glitters is gold

Only shooting stars break the mold
  ....

Madam Sherry the Librarian, gave us a tour of her impressive office in the Portsmouth library - the last Fairchild event of our weekend.

Almost forgot to mention that we toured Sue's new condo in
Kittery on our way to the Friendly Toast. Yes! No worry about
water in the basement there. It even still smells new.

Oh, and while I'm mentioning things - for our Saturday night out dining experience, we ate at the Wayfarer this year - yummy seafood! I would have included a picture, but one more picture of all of us eating in a restaurant would have made me hungry. (Not to mention, that we left all of our cameras behind.)
