19 YEARS !!!!

Gilford, New Hampshire May 30th - June 3rd, 2008

Another year - another weekend in a new place. We are all aging sooooooooooo gracefully. Finding the barn proved to be an adventure for everyone. It was kind of hidden in the back of the main house, not to mention finding the road was a trick. Merl visited for much of Saturday - she arrived shortly after Sherry left, while Sue A and Nancy were out getting a couple of supplies, taking short cuts of course. We once again had plenty to eat - enough to forego eating out on Saturday night - leftovers were more than enough. Kathy brought and prepared the main dish (grilled chicken) and a few other sides as well. Then there were other bags and boxes of food .. The kitchen was a little tricky to get used to, and accidental (I think) spraying each other with the sink hose happened more than once. Then there was the stove - or was it the micro? that was a bit different. Nope, still didn't go too hungry.

Deb keeps An Eye on The Wild Tigresses.
She ensured that as we approach the upperside of our 50's, leaving the flamingo age, we should be ROARING like a Pride of Tigers.

We're all farmgirls at heart, anyway - so staying in a barn for this year's reunion was not a difficult decision. Also, a good place to enable our wild inner tigersses loose. Only broke two wine glasses, devoured a couple bays of hay and a chicken or two.
We do have fun!! Sue's probably in deep right now, preparing for her daughter's wedding. We saw the website with pics of the beautiful wedding dress.
Deb brought a CD with pics and music of The Villages - trying to entice our near-retirement thoughts in her direction. Sue volunteered to host next year's reunion at her place in DC. Wow - that would be an adventure. Think she'd better think twice about that.
Time to start thinking about what we want to do for our sexy 60th. Achh - can't believe I said that.

Les looks up, to the barn balcony. We saw beautiful pics and narration of some of her travels. I forget precisely where - a cruise ship in South America. Very cute penguins that she could almost touch!

Though drizzly much of the time, we did manage to get out and walk around - needing to walk off some of those calories and make room for more. Andre delivered and then retrieved Merl from the Tiger Pride.

Sherry - was sick, and left after just one night in the barn (looks great tho!)

It was a little chilly, but walking and talking and stopping kept us warm.

We're all looking younger every year.
Just reaching our stride!

Our final farewell until next year - Mr. UNH joins the photo shoot, and Nancy sorta tries, too.

Yeah - SO sweeet !!! SO great to see Sue after a couple of year's absence. She is paving the way for other Fairchilders that have been unable to make it to our reunions for a couple of years.(HINT HINT HINT)
