10/3/2003 7:41:32 PM | Confussion | Linda And Norm | Hi All !!! Just to bring you up to date on the plans Linda has made for you while in Morrice; Sunday, Oct. 12, from 2-5, there will be a gathering of the Hankinson families and thier off spring from around the country, at the Morrice Community and Senior Center. Part of this building is the old high school gym. We decided that just LeRoy, Virgil, and Linda have over 40 offspring in the immidiate area and that no house would be safe with everyone in one place. Linda will also announce your visit in the Argus Press from Owosso to let anyone who may have known you to stop by and visit. It's also a good chance for some strangers to get free food. We hope you have no currant plans for Sunday; if you do let us know so people from far away don't waste expensive gas coming to see your absence. I mentioned to Dick that there was possible transportation available when you arrive. Through much effort and the fact that our son and his wife drove all the way here from Oklahoma to take me to Grand Rapids to pick up my Mother's van (Linda doesn't drive e-ways), your transportation is secure. We mentioned that we had a queen bed, single bed available, and private bath for someones use during your stay. It seems logical that June would have the single and Judy and Nancy have the queen, but knowing the Hankinson's democratic way, you can discuss the various options on the drive here to keep it interesting. Whatever you decide is fine with us; but you might keep in mind that tenting in 30 degree weather may put some frost on your fun. Love, Norm and Linda |
9/28/2003 | Michigan Visit | Linda And Norm | Hi Hankinson Kids, I'm not sure, but it would appear that you folks plan to use the RV for transportation while in Michigan. I have available an Oldsmobile Silhouette, which will carry 7 people, and it will be here when you arrive on Friday. Also, if it fits in with your plans, Linda and I want all of you to enjoy a cook out at our house on Saturday. We will have available beef steak, venison steak, pork loin, or chicken breast. Please let us know which each prefers so I can have the right amount available. Also, I don't have your Dad's e-mail address, would someone please send it to me. Looking forward to your visit, |
9/30/2003 | Food | Linda And Norm | Hi All, I've heard everyone's food desires except for June. Up to now we have a mixture of venison and beef, with one pork. I just don't know what I'm going to do with the neighbors chicken that will never return home; and its hard to get all of the feathers out of the grill. Wtih baited antisipation, |

9/30/2003 9:58:16 AM | MichiganOrBust -- numbskulls | Judy | OK. Listen up, you numbskulls. You are still leaving Dad off the Michigan or Bust email distribution. I just forwarded him the ones I found in the hopper this AM -- in backwards order, what else. Also -- I will bring dinner for the first night (Thursday) out. American chop suey, salad, bread, wine and cookies. Or something like that. Oh, yes, decaf. |

Hi guys. It's a shame to waste whole portions on Denny.
Scraps of all would make him a great shish kebab....to go. I prefer
beef steak or venison. Can't wait to see Michigan.
We will try to have Denny's face painted for the game.

Come to think of it Linda - if you have good recipe we'll be happy to
contribute Tom. That way you can save the venison for an
important occasion. |
9/30/2003 11:18:56 PM | Re: Food | Tom | Norm - Hey, if you cook up a neighbor's chicken, I promise to help eat it! Great appetizer to the venison main event. And by the way, if the venison becomes scarce, the chicken (or pork or beef steak) is great by me. I'm easy, and always hungry... |
10/1/2003 3:08:32 AM | Re: Food | Denny | If one pork is a problem I'll have some of that "baited antisipation" As for June, I'll see him later today and will extract an answer. |
10/1/2003 10:04:25 AM | Re: Food | Dad | Hi Linda and Norm: Help !!! I'm up to 48 E-Mails already, and I don't know to whom I'm replying. So Linda, put me down for venison, because I know that you know how to prepare it. And I trust you to avoid all that road kill that's been creeping into the exchanges. And Linda,- as if you didn't already have enough to do for that week end, you end up with a batch of out-of-town relatives. But I dont want to miss a minute of it. Dick mentioned that you had asked who might be invited, and I mentioined Chuck (Chizzy) Alling. I haven't heard from him in quite a while. > |
